"I don't necessarily support the changes," said the Chair (speaker S1), who urged more discussion about the decision to remove nursing homes and community‑based residential facilities from the incentive language. The Chair said the village is preparing to expand fire services and that planning for growth should consider including senior residents in that growth.
Staff told the commission there had been a public comment period and material posted online; staff reported they received no substantive public comments after the most recent changes. Commissioner (speaker S5) moved to approve the resolution supporting adoption; the motion was seconded and the commission recorded at least one dissent during the vote (a recorded “nay” from one commissioner, speaker S3).
