He said Judge Jim Brady is retiring and that "I'm gonna be running for his seat," adding that he has Brady's endorsement.
Sawicki told council he believes his combined experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney and magistrate uniquely qualifies him to continue the court’s standards for fairness and efficiency.
