Praise in the Park: Jennifer Trevathan, executive director of Another Way Pregnancy Center (Farmington Hills), requested a special-event permit for "Praise in the Park" to be held Sunday, July 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. Council confirmed the correct date (the submitted application listed the 25th in error) and approved the permit for Shiawassee Park.
Founders Festival appointments: Mister Murphy reported on committee recruitment and recommended business and resident representatives for a newly formed Founders Festival Committee. Council approved the recommended members, including business nominees Ryan Cavanagh and Carlin Cassidy and resident nominees Ron Cook, Taylor McAvoy and Trevor Madema, along with designated liaisons from city departments.
