Palmyra council approves consent resolutions including $2.8 million in April bills, reduces ERI contract award

The Borough of Palmyra approved a group of consent resolutions at its April 21 meeting. Resolutions 2025-130 through 2025-134 were enacted in a single motion and included a sewer overpayment refund (2025-130), self-examination of the 2025 budget (2025-131), authorization for an electronic tax sale (2025-132), an amendment reducing an ERI contract (2025-133) and payment of April 2025 bills in the amount of $2,808,645.09 (2025-134).
Resolution 2025-133 amended a previously awarded contract to ERI: the council reduced the original $109,500 award by $62,000 for a new contract total of $47,500 and reallocated the savings to road improvement projects; ERI is expected to submit a new proposal at a later date for work originally planned under the larger award.
Council approved the consent agenda by roll call with Latimore, O’Connell and O’Connor voting in favor and Richard K. Dreby recorded as an abstention on the consent items. The Treasurer's report for March 2025 was also approved unanimously.
The acceptance of these resolutions advances near-term road work allocations and clears the April bill run for payment.
