Boothbay board affirms path-of-travel approval for Simpson-Jacobs seawall

Chair Bruce Bowler presented the board’s findings of fact, noting the applicants demonstrated legal interest in the property and that the deed is recorded at the Lincoln County Registry of Deeds (Book 5948, Page 165). On motions by Bowler and a second by Vice Chair Lucian Laurie Jr., the board voted 5-0 to approve the application, concluding it met the criteria set forth in the Town of Boothbay Zoning Ordinance. The approval is subject to the applicants obtaining a Shoreland Zone building permit from the Code Enforcement Office.
The minutes record that the access for the repair will be limited to town-owned property only and that the applicants and contractor must not trespass on abutting properties; the contractor identified in the minutes is Pat Farrin and Sons Dirt Works, represented by Kipp Farrin.
