Orrville announces new hires, employee award and upcoming Utilities director retirement

At the June 15 Orrville City Council meeting Mayor Plybon announced personnel changes and honors.
The mayor named Kyle Yoakem of the power plant as June employee of the month. He also announced that Derek Johnson joined the fire department as a firefighter/EMT and that Jerson Lopez Irias has joined the police department as an officer. The mayor expressed appreciation to Norm Hibinger for 32 years of service on the Planning Commission and said the city is seeking a resident to fill the vacancy.
Utilities Director Brediger told the council that this was his next-to-last meeting before retiring at the end of next month.
