The Santa Fe City Council voted to approve Amendment No. 1 to general services contract 23-0689 with Vector Airport Systems, extending the firm’s term to Dec. 19, 2026 to continue collecting aircraft landing and parking fees at the Santa Fe Regional Airport.
City Clerk presented the item and identified interim airport director Jimmy Gunn as the staff member present to answer questions. Councilors moved and seconded the item and approved it by roll call.
Councilor Garcia, chair of the airport advisory committee, thanked Gunn for his leadership. "I wanna thank you, in our public meeting for what you've done to keep the airport going, your leadership, your passion for our airport and the staff and the people that are there," she said.
The motion passed with an affirmative roll-call vote from the councilors present. The council recorded no substantive questions from council members during the item and moved on to subsequent business.
The approval extends the current contract period so the city retains an existing vendor for fee collection while staff continues airport operations and oversight.
