At its March 9 meeting, the Bristol Community Events Committee confirmed final arrangements for the "Mud Season Mixer," scheduled for March 21 at the Historic Town Hall. The committee set a Friday, March 20, 6:00 p.m. setup time and assigned several pre-event tasks.
Annie Learned, a committee member, will purchase needed supplies for the dance, estimated at approximately $50 based on last year’s costs, and will repair the event's bunny costume (addressing velcro, sleeves and elastic). Committee members agreed to reuse the previous-year artificial flower tub and to use spring florals and gingham as primary décor elements. The group also discussed a possible popcorn-bar food concept.
The committee noted the Town will clear snow from the entryway and ramp ahead of the event. Members also said the large holiday ornament that conflicted with setup had been removed by its owner after being contacted by the committee. An updated event checklist intended for real-time use during events will be further refined after the dance.
The committee included these items in routine event logistics so volunteers and staff know responsibilities and timing prior to the event.
