Committee approves minutes and a package of contracts, ordinances and agreements

The Village of Tinley Park Committee of the Whole on Tuesday approved a set of routine and project-specific actions, including minutes from its June 16 meeting and multiple contracts and ordinances across the agenda.
Trustees voted to approve a Tax Increment Financing administration proposal with SB Friedman, moved an item to the licensing committee, and adopted an ordinance updating sections of the municipal code related to peddlers and solicitors. The board also approved the purchase of annual maintenance for the village’s 911 dispatch software from CentralSquare and recorded a partial release and satisfaction of a development agreement with Loyola University Health Systems.
Contracts approved included municipal parking-lot improvements with Dwayne McGill Construction and a hotel parking-lot contract with Ericoy Paving Corporation. The board approved a change order with the Illinois Department of Transportation for helipad improvements and authorized staff to negotiate an agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
Several items were carried by roll call votes with affirmative responses; the clerk recorded the roll-call results for each motion. Many motions were described on the record as carried by the presiding officer.
The meeting also included discussion of larger infrastructure projects (roadway and signal improvements at 191st and Harlem and a traffic-calming project on 167th Street) and a fiber agreement that added permit and bonding requirements for future work. Those topics are covered separately.
The committee received no public comments and adjourned after recording the votes.
