Hampton Planning Board approves temporary dining, wetlands permit and condominium reapproval

At its July 1 meeting the Hampton Planning Board approved three discrete permit items and took routine administrative actions.
Temporary outdoor dining: The Board approved Destination India’s request to use three parking spaces for temporary outdoor dining during the 2026 calendar year, subject to the Town Planner’s Memorandum dated July 1, 2026. Vice Chair Ward Galanis made the motion to approve; the Board voted 7‑0‑0.
Wetlands permit: Sergio Bonilla of Mission Wetland & Ecological Services presented a proposal to raze and reconstruct a single‑family dwelling at 81 Brown Avenue using a flood‑vented foundation, reduced impervious area and salt‑tolerant buffer plantings. The Board granted the Wetlands Permit with stipulations in the Conservation Commission letter dated June 24, 2026; vote 7‑0‑0.
Condominium conversion (14 and 16 Dover Avenue): Attorney James Scully said the amended condominium conversion reassigns parking and reconfigures common and limited common areas from an August 2024 approval that had lapsed. The Board approved a waiver request (Section V.E. – Detailed Plan) and approved the amended condominium conversion (plan dated Aug. 23, 2024) subject to the Town Planner’s Memorandum dated July 1, 2026; both motions passed 7‑0‑0.
The Board also approved the June 17, 2026 minutes (as amended), voted to cancel the July 15 Planning Board meeting, and discussed scheduling and agenda items for an August joint meeting with the Select Board.
