The Ways & Means Committee on July 7 approved a set of orders moving grant funds and philanthropic gifts across city departments and authorized a five-year contract for police communications maintenance.
Among the approvals: $54,191.60 to the Health Department to fully fund an FY26 formula grant; $250,000 to the Planning Department for an FY27 TDI equity project; $100,000 to the Health Department for a regional mobility manager/community transportation coordinator grant; $70,000 to the Police Department for an FY27 behavioral health intervention grant; $25,000 to the Police Department for a jail diversion grant; $12,500 to the Health Department for a summer youth jobs program; $55,000 and $25,000 in foundation gifts to the Lynn School Department to support mental-health partnerships; and $520,000 to the Lynn Public Library from a revocable trust for library programs.
The committee also ordered that the mayor be authorized to sign a contract on behalf of the Lynn Police Department with Allcom Technologies Inc. for a five-year term (7/1/2026'0/6/30/2031) to provide communications-systems maintenance for Lynn Police Department equipment. The contract authorization passed by roll call.
All funding orders were approved by committee roll call as presented.
