Trustees approve minutes, authorize ACH payments and review hospital‑bed fund distribution

Canaan’s Trustees of the Trust Fund unanimously approved the meeting minutes from January and carried a motion to adjourn at 6:20 p.m. on Feb. 18.
Trustees processed an ACH distribution request from the town to cover invoices from three funds — the Highway Maintenance CRF, the Bridge Repair CRF and the Meetinghouse Preservation Fund. Trustee Nick Lavalley completed the bank distribution form; Trustee Cindy Neily and Trustee Collen Bryson Johnston reviewed it, and the packet was scanned and emailed to Lynne Ford and Kristin Lyden at Bar Harbor Bank and Trust to initiate payment.
Cindy Neily presented the fund distribution form, cover letter and a copy of the check for the Emaline Davids Hospital Free Bed payment to Dartmouth‑Hitchcock; trustees reviewed the materials and found them acceptable. The trustees set their next meeting for March 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Canaan Town Hall.
