Planning Board approves minutes, adjourns after hearing preliminary proposals

Vice Chair Jake Tuck moved to approve the draft minutes; Sherrill Howard seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve them. The meeting proceeded to a preliminary presentation by applicants for the Owl’s Nest sports complex followed by scheduling of a public hearing for the Night Sky Amendment at the March 4, 2025 work session. Chair Tim Scanlon moved to adjourn at 7:20 p.m.; Sherrill Howard seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Attendees listed in the draft minutes included Chair Tim Scanlon; Vice Chair Jake Tuck; Planning Board members Stuart Pitts, Sherrill Howard, Ted Davis, and Cynthia Vascak; and Laura Chapman. No formal land-use approvals were made; the board’s comments on Owl’s Nest were advisory and the Night Sky Amendment discussion addressed timing.
