Residents announce meeting and urge Fincastle to press VDOT on sidewalks

Resident Scott Critzer thanked Town Manager Melanie McFadyen for her work and urged the council to move forward with sidewalk repairs if the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) does not fulfill maintenance responsibilities by the end of the year. Critzer said the town should “just move forward with the project and get the needed repairs taken care of” if VDOT does not act.
Paige Ware also made a brief community announcement inviting residents to a July 5 cookout tied to the town's fireworks celebration. The council adjourned at 7:35 p.m.; the next meeting is set for July 9, 2026.
