The Town of Fincastle reported on June 11 that its Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) certifies the town's water quality as "very good" and safe for customers.
Town Manager Melanie McFadyen said the CCR was mailed this year because many customers receive bills electronically; the mailing went to over 300 customers. McFadyen noted that PFOS-related certification or testing will be completed in July and that discussions about PFOS follow-up will occur later.
The council received the water-quality update as part of routine management reporting; no additional council action on the CCR was recorded in the minutes.
