During its April 13 regular meeting the Town Board approved several routine and administrative items. The board voted to enter an agreement with CNY Forestry to render and prepare timber on a town parcel (approx. 28.60 acres, parcel 273.-1-21.4); the motion was made by Councilman Kevin Armstrong and seconded by Leonard Govern (Resolution #64) and was adopted. The board also approved renting the roadside mower for the season (Resolution #65).
Councilwoman Patricia Wood briefed the board on upcoming community events and requested a $100 donation to the Chamber of Commerce for American flags on Delaware Street; the board approved the purchase (Resolution #66). The board approved the March 9, 2026 minutes (Resolution #63) and approved vouchers presented for payment (Resolution #67) covering General Fund A, General OV B, General HWY DA and OV HWY DB accounts.
Departmental reports received included the assessor’s monthly update (data-collection progress, STAR outreach, pending exemptions), the Code Enforcement monthly summary (8 building permits issued in March; 4 inspections; 2 certificates issued), the Dog Control report (five complaints, one seizure, one dangerous-dog case) and a highway superintendent update that included a planned slope failure repair on South River Road starting April 27 and an overview of staffing. Supervisor Joseph Cetta also noted the town time capsule is available at the Town Clerk’s office and invited public suggestions for items to be buried July 4, 2026. The meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m.
