The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 23 approved four separate resolutions accepting final subdivision plats submitted by David T. Lensing (Resolution 26.078), James A. Hanson (Resolution 26.079), Kevin Bentien (Resolution 26.080), and Thomas and Angela Weighner (Resolution 26.081). Each resolution states the submitted plat conforms with the Allamakee County Comprehensive Plan and the county’s subdivision ordinances and authorizes the chairperson to certify the documents for recording with the county recorder and auditor.
For each plat the board waived the requirement of a performance bond for improvements and installations. The motions to adopt each resolution were made by Supervisor Keatley and seconded by Supervisor Byrnes; in the recorded roll calls the votes were Keatley—aye, Byrnes—aye; Supervisor Clark was absent for the meeting.
The plats approved describe rural lots in multiple townships and sections within Allamakee County; each resolution cites Chapter 354 of the Code of Iowa and the county’s subdivision ordinance as the authority for certifying approval. By adopting the resolutions the board certified that the proposed subdivisions were reviewed for consistency with public improvements and the public interest.
Next steps: the chairperson was authorized to endorse certified copies for recording with the county recorder and county auditor.
