Board OKs contract for 2026 general property reassessment

The Bland County Board of Supervisors voted Dec. 17 to approve a contract with Wampler and Eanes Appraisal Group, Ltd. to perform the county’s 2026 general property reassessment and authorized the county administrator to execute the agreement on behalf of the board.
Supervisor Randy Johnson made the motion to approve the reassessment contract and Supervisor Patrick Groseclose seconded. The minutes record the roll call as unanimous in favor. Commissioner of the Revenue Cindy Wright had earlier briefed the board on the assessment process.
The minutes do not include the contract price or schedule; follow-up on contract details and timelines will be handled by the county administrator per the authorization recorded in the minutes.
