Safe Streets for All: Commissioners approved a professional services agreement with Pond & Company to prepare a Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan. The project total is $480,000 with a 20% local match; the county manager said the match is budgeted.
Contract change order: The board approved change order #5 for Bridal Brothers Construction on Brown Bridge Road over the Yellow River, citing environmental work and cost overruns; staff said the final closeout amount for the change order was $183,825.25.
Personnel hearing officer: The board delayed a resolution to appoint a personnel hearing officer (proposed appointment: attorney Peter Massaro) after questions about cost, scope and how the role interacts with the county manager and grievance processes. Commissioner Everett moved to table the item for 60 days; the motion passed 3–1.
Zoning vote (brief recap): In a related zoning item (CUP26-000002) the board approved an AutoZone conditional-use permit with added conditions (no on-site repairs and signage) by a 3–1 vote after an extended public hearing.
