At a June 16, 2026 meeting in Osceola, the Polk County Board of County Commissioners approved the minutes from the prior meeting and allowed claims and warrants across county funds after a claims audit. Chairman Jerry Westring moved to allow the claims and draw warrants; Commissioner Boruch seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous.
The claims registers presented to the board listed General Fund payroll of $92,215.83 and multiple vendor payments, including a $77,289.00 payment to NIRMA for insurance and retirement and social security deposits tied to the Polk County Clerk accounts. Road Fund claims included major gravel and equipment charges.
Commissioner Boruch moved to transfer $35,000 from the County General Fund to the Noxious Weed Fund as budgeted; Commissioner Westring seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous.
The County Jail Report for May was reviewed and approved and the County Clerk reported fees submitted to the County Treasurer, including a $1,434.50 fee for Sheriff Dwaine W. Ladwig and $105.00 for Jodie L. Roberts, Clerk of District Court.
The meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
