Bland supervisors approve consent agenda, including $1.07 million school requisition

At its Oct. 22 meeting the Bland County Board of Supervisors approved the consent agenda on a unanimous roll call, which included routine payroll and vendor payments and several appropriations.
The board appropriated $1,066,358.75 to satisfy the Bland County School Board's November 2024 requisition. The consent package also included appropriation of $15,908.24 for the August 2024 Social Services local allotment, minutes from recent meetings, and departmental reports from the treasurer, sheriff's office, animal control, building official, clerk's office, zoning, and the E911 coordinator.
Supervisor Stephen Kelley moved to approve the consent agenda; Supervisor Randy Johnson seconded the motion. A roll call recorded unanimous approval by the four supervisors present.
