Staff member conducted the procedural motion and announced the results: "With that, thank you, Commissioner Garcia. You are now chair," and told the commission that staff and an interim moderator would continue to support meetings until the new chair takes over in August. The commission did not record a roll-call vote; approval was by general voice vote.
Staff said it will forward agendas and supporting materials to the new chair in advance so the chair can begin leading meetings starting in August.
