Boyce council presses for sidewalk repairs, gives homeowner 30 days to act

Councilmember Floyd Hudson said the town has given the homeowner's HOA ample time and recommended stopping the sidewalk where previously discussed and giving the homeowner 30 days to remedy the situation. Council asked Town Administrator Matt Hoff to obtain approximate project costs for the next meeting and to follow up with Painter Lewis, the property owner and the homeowners association.
Council also discussed sidewalk snow removal after recent storms. Floyd Hudson suggested the town request a walk-through and quote from local contractor A Cut Above; Hoff was directed to reach out for a price to clear town sidewalks. Members noted that HOAs cover their own streets but the town has authority over sidewalks; Council asked staff to clarify responsibilities and present options and costs at the next meeting.
No formal vote was recorded on the homeowner deadline; council discussion produced a consensus to proceed with estimates and outreach to contractors.
