Boyce continues search for code compliance inspector; planning commission recruitment underway

At its Oct. 1 meeting, the Boyce Town Council discussed staffing for code enforcement and outreach to fill openings on the Planning Commission, Town Administrator Matt Hoff said.
Hoff told the council two applicants for the vacant Code Compliance Inspector position were interviewed last week and that references are being checked; he said the town expects follow-up “in the coming days/weeks.” The transcript records that the position remains vacant while the reference checks continue.
Hoff also said the town has advertised Planning Commission openings in the monthly newsletter, on the BVFC electronic sign and through the Citizen’s Academy; he said he has asked for the openings to be posted on the town website and promoted via social media. Planning Commission member David Winsatt and Board of Supervisors representative Bev McKay were noted as not present and offered no report.
