Councilmember Daniel moved to excuse councilmember Streeter from the meeting because Streeter was a candidate for the village manager vacancy; the motion was seconded by Stuut and carried unanimously. Clerk Storm-Artis announced the meeting was being recorded and there were no additions to the agenda; the council then approved the agenda by motion of Daniel, seconded by McLean.
Interviews were conducted that evening for Megan Rick (7:00 PM), Erin Veysey (7:30 PM) and Spencer Streeter (8:00 PM). After discussion, the council determined that Erin Veysey and Spencer Streeter would be invited to a second interview session scheduled for July 8, 2026, with interview times set for 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Council members also requested that the village repost the vacancy for two weeks on the MML Classified site with a submission deadline of July 15, 2026.
There were no public comments or communications recorded on the agenda items. The special meeting adjourned at 8:51 PM without objection.
