At its Nov. 13 meeting the Lynn Township Board of Supervisors approved financial measures including keeping the township millage at 0.2 mills for 2026 and authorizing the public advertisement of the draft 2026 budget.
On a motion by Ronald Jerdon, seconded by Frederick Najarian, supervisors passed Resolution 2025‑18 fixing the 2026 tax rate at 0.2 mills. The board also authorized the advertisement of the draft 2026 budget for public viewing; the record shows the board plans to adopt the budget on Dec. 11, 2025.
Financial actions taken at the meeting included renewing certificates of deposit (CD#4181 and CD#4272) coming due Dec. 3, 2025 for 91 days at 3.68%. The treasurer’s reported account balances as of Nov. 30, 2025 include a General Fund balance of $184,595.28 and CDs totaling $988,293.56, with total township cash across accounts of $1,745,515.88.
The board also approved Resolution 2025‑20 authorizing transfers of unencumbered moneys between township accounts and discussed miscellaneous line‑item receipts and expenses presented in the treasurer's report. Motions on these actions carried unanimously.
The draft budget will be available for public review before the board considers formal adoption at the Dec. 11 meeting.
