Commission flags data centers for upcoming multi-municipal plan discussion

During other business the Lynn Township Planning Commission discussed data centers briefly and agreed the matter will be taken up at the Multi‑Municipal Plan meeting on Dec. 6, 2025, where six municipalities will consider whether to add data centers as a listed use and determine how to share regulatory approaches.
Commissioner Amanda Dietrich raised the classification issue; Fritz Najarian said the multi-municipal meeting is the appropriate venue. Commissioner Willard Dellicker noted no one from Lynn Township had registered for the LVPC General Assembly on Oct. 30 and suggested someone attend to raise the 10% rule question there.
No formal action was taken; commissioners treated the item as a planning matter to be addressed regionally through the multi‑municipal effort.
