EAC member proposes Bird Town native instructional garden at Ontelaunee Park

Rob Sayre told the Lynn Township Environmental Advisory Council on Oct. 18 that he is preparing a Bird Town project proposal to install a native instructional garden at Ontelaunee Park, modeled on an example called Oscht Gaarde.
Sayre said he will do a dry run of the proposal for the EAC before placing it on the Board of Supervisors agenda. The minutes record an action to establish a Bird Town subcommittee with Kathryn Townsend and Rob Sayre listed as initial members to develop the idea further.
The proposal, as discussed, is at a planning stage: Sayre will draft the project proposal, the EAC will review it in a dry run, and, if recommended, the plan will be advanced to the BOS. No site approvals, contracts, or funding commitments were made at the Oct. 18 meeting.
