Mendon Township board approves 2026–27 millage and routine business

The board also approved the May 12, 2026 minutes on a motion by Treasurer Jan Griffith, supported by Trustee Jim Hart. The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion by Clerk Donna Cupp, supported by Trustee Leasa G. Mathews, and the May bills were approved on a motion by Trustee Mathews, supported by Trustee Hart. Trustee Hart and others noted frustration that the solar jurisdiction issue had returned to public attention despite limited township authority under state law.
The board adopted the meeting agenda at the start of the session (motion by Trustee Jim Hart, supported by Trustee Mathews), and the meeting was adjourned at 7:59 p.m. on a motion by Treasurer Griffith, supported by Trustee Hart.
