The City of Douglas Mayor and Commission approved four items on the consent agenda during the April 13 meeting.
City Manager Charlie Davis read the consent items: approval of the March 23, 2026 meeting minutes; placement and approval of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit support letter for Lowcountry Housing; the recommended award of engineering services (preliminary engineering, design, construction and project management) to ESG Engineering for GIFA/SRF-funded work; and authorization for the mayor to execute a service agreement with Lanco Engineering covering the Davis Wake Pickleball Court, Whispering Pines Dog Park and paving projects. A single motion and second carried to approve the consent agenda.
Separately, the commission conducted a public hearing on an on-premises beer-and-wine license application for Tio's Table LLC at 121 East Ashley Street; the item was carried forward for further consideration and no public commenters appeared in the recorded transcript.
Next steps: city staff will finalize contract documents and administrative tasks associated with the engineering award and the Lanco service agreement; the LIHTC applicant will submit the state application in May with the city's support letter.
