Park listed board members who support the program, including Alisa Mills Jackson (president), Darlene Salazar (vice president), Michael Tempest Hill (secretary), Michael Bowles, Danitra Carruthers, Jessica Rios, Keila Swinson, Brent Corbett and Christopher Shaw. Park said the award recognizes the hard work of volunteers, partners and city support and thanked the commission for backing the program.
No formal action was required from the commission for the award; the presentation included a brief photo opportunity followed by a short overview of the group's activities.
