Rae Ann Komisky addressed the Diamondville Town Council on March 2, saying signage along the Highway 30 interchange is confusing. Councilmember Sherrol Sloan moved that the council send a letter to the Wyoming Department of Transportation requesting improvements to the signage language; Councilmember Nicole Petersen seconded the motion and the council voted unanimously to send the letter.
In new business the council approved advertising to hire two summer employees at least 16 years old, to begin work June 8, 2026. Councilmember Nicole Petersen moved to authorize the hiring advertisement with a starting wage of $15.50 per hour for first-year employees and $16.00 per hour for returning employees; Councilmember Robert Sawaya seconded and the motion carried with all voting aye.
The governing body reviewed materials for an upcoming Coloring Contest associated with a Semiquincentennial grant; the record shows review but no formal action beyond discussion. The council also reviewed the condition of Officer Thompson’s patrol vehicle and requested that an advertisement for bids be placed on the next regular council meeting agenda to solicit replacement or repair options; the transcript records the request but not a formal motion for the advertisement.
Routine business included approval of the February 16, 2026 minutes and payment of presented bills. The council adjourned at 7:13 p.m.
