Mannington schedules April rabies clinic, plans May dog census

Ayars said clinic workers beyond herself and Patti Davis have not yet been established. The board also noted a dog census is scheduled to begin in May 2025 to update licensing records.
The board reviewed 2024 dog‑license receipts: $3,013 was collected from 153 licenses sold. Board members did not record additional operational details about clinic staffing or vaccine supply at the meeting; follow‑up logistics were left to staff and volunteers to arrange.
The clinic is intended to provide a convenient local option for pet owners to comply with licensing and vaccination requirements; the board did not authorize a budget change at the meeting.
