Donald Asay moved to appoint Richard Eber Jr. and Amber Ayars; Robert DiGregorio seconded and the motion carried. After the appointment, Chairman Richard Eber Jr. took over the meeting.
The board adopted Resolution BOH #R-01-2025 to designate the bulletin board at Town Hall as the official posting place and to name the South Jersey Times and the Elmer Times as the newspapers to receive public‑meeting notices, citing compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act (P.L. 1960, C. 173). The resolution states those newspapers were selected "because they have the greatest likelihood of informing the public within the area of the jurisdiction of the Township" and because the South Jersey Times is the township committee's official newspaper.
The board also adopted Resolution BOH #R-02-2025, establishing regular Board of Health meetings prior to scheduled Township Committee meetings and confirming meetings will be held at Mannington Town Hall, 491 Route 45. The adopted 2025 schedule lists meetings generally at 5:30 p.m.; dates include Feb. 6 (this organization meeting), March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, June 30, Aug. 11, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4, 2025. The resolution directs that in the event of changes, notices will be posted on the outside Town Hall bulletin board and sent to the designated newspapers at least 48 hours in advance.
A motion to approve the minutes of the Dec. 5, 2024 meeting, moved by Donald Asay and seconded by Richard Eber Jr., carried. With no further business, the board adjourned at 5:43 p.m.
The board's actions were procedural and establish the official channels for public notice and the regular meeting calendar for 2025.
