The Sterling Heights City Council voted to acknowledge and accept corporate sponsorships totaling $45,000 to support the 2026 Sterlingfest Art and Music Fair and to provide public Wi‑Fi at Dodge Park.
The city presented the sponsorships during the meeting and invited representatives from the organizations. Ashley May (S17) for Christian Financial Credit Union said the credit union is “really proud to sponsor the Wi‑Fi in at Dodge Park and the drone show,” and noted the organization created an image that will appear in the drone show. Valerie Knoll (S18) for Stellantis praised the festival’s regional draw and quality and said the company is proud to support the community.
Councilmember remarks recognized the financial and volunteer support that makes the festival possible and expressed thanks to the three corporate partners. The council moved and supported the resolution to accept $22,000 from Christian Financial Credit Union, $12,000 from Stellantis and $11,000 from AT&T; the motion carried by voice vote.
The city administration said the donations will be used for festival programming and infrastructure such as Wi‑Fi and the drone show.
