Sanbornton Planning Board seeks input as it begins drafting driveway regulations

Deacon also suggested referencing specific RSA citations rather than restating statute language so the town would not need to amend its regulations each time a state RSA changes. Chairman Andy Sanborn asked staff to solicit the highway director's and fire chief's input for numeric measurements and other technical language.
The board agreed to draft regulations addressing the first 25 feet of driveways and to request additional draft language and recommendations from the highway director and fire chief before returning the proposal for further discussion. No vote to adopt the new language occurred at the workshop.
