Sanbornton library selects Revision Energy for 23 kW array; roof work set for single-day closure

Library Director Rebekka Mateyk told the Selectboard the library’s roof replacement contract has been submitted and the job will be scheduled on a Monday so the building can close that day and library service will not be interrupted. Mateyk and Library Trustee Ginny Blackmer said the library plans to proceed with a 23 kW solar array to be installed by Revision Energy.
Mateyk said the library will pay project costs up front and expects the IRS tax-credit check to be issued to the library; Clean Energy is assisting with the tax-credit process. She said a meeting will be scheduled to discuss battery backups for the solar system and that the Selectboard and the Fire Chief will be invited to that discussion. Mateyk added the library will need one to two years of operation data to determine how much the solar revenue offsets electricity spending.
Town Administrator Trish Stafford said she submitted the roofing contract and will double-check that it was processed.
