Public works and public-safety chiefs update Select Board on Valley Road easements, cruiser status, truck repair and security locks

Ed Thayer of Public Works summarized department activity and provided updates on easements related to Valley Road. Lieutenant Mark Dressel provided the police activity update and noted the status of the police cruiser. Fire Chief Shawn Atkins submitted the Fire & Rescue report, which the minutes show included two rescue calls and two fire calls for the reporting period; he asked the board whether there were updates from the insurance company about his truck repair and raised the prospect of contracting an electronic security protection company for door locks at the Fire Department.
The board also recorded correspondence from Matt Merrill regarding an existing permit and a request from the Eastern Monadnock Housing Security Coalition asking regional leaders to work together. Andrew Hatch reported being appointed chair of the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Cecilia Kendrick and another resident (Jane) spoke with the board about Old Home Day planning.
