The Town of Washington Select Board approved two residential building permits and denied a commercial-scale equipment shed during its April 2, 2026 meeting at Town Hall.
Joyce Borey's application (Lot 16-77-11) for a 6-foot-by-10-foot deck was approved, and a permit for Michael Mullen and Ellee Granier (Lot 7-46) for a 20-foot-by-28-foot two-story drey cabin to be used as a full-time residence was also approved. A separate application from Peter France (Lot 9-17) for an 18-foot-by-50-foot five-bay equipment shed with a 6-foot-by-30-foot extension was denied.
Evan Caffrey moved to approve the minutes from March 26, 2026; Sam White seconded and the board voted unanimously to accept the prior minutes. The meeting record notes daytime appointments and conversations with residents, including a Friends of the Library representative discussing a Black Flies dance event and the Zoning Board of Adjustment chair updating the board on regional transportation corridors.
