Charlie Whalen, owner of the construction company representing property owners John Duffy and Dr. James Peter, showed a physical sample and photos of the proposed Newport-style, khaki-colored fencing and said he had “spoken to the neighbor and he seems fine with it.” Board members confirmed the fence would be placed on the applicants’ property and that a 6-foot height is within code.
A committee member moved to approve DRB-2026-32, listing the owners and describing the fence (approximately 220 feet along the rear parking lot across two lots); another member seconded and the board voted in favor.
The approval notes that the new fence is intended to improve the appearance along the rear lot and that the existing wooden fence on the neighboring property is not part of the application. The board did not add additional conditions beyond confirmation that the fence meets the township height rules.
The board moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
