Town Administrator Sean read a formal resignation into the record at the Feb. 10 meeting, stating his resignation from the position of town administrator for the Town of White Lake will be effective March 4, 2026. "This decision is bittersweet," Sean said, thanking the board, staff and citizens for the opportunity to serve and noting accomplishments during his tenure.
Mayor Dalton Wawbel and commissioners praised Sean's work, thanked him for securing grants and improving services, and said they will develop a transition plan. The mayor said he and Sean meet daily to prepare for the change and that staff will seek candidates for an interim appointment while conducting a measured search for a permanent replacement. No appointment of an interim was made at the meeting.
Sean said he will continue to assist with transition tasks and appreciated the community's support. The board discussed filling the vacated finance officer role as part of the broader transition and emphasized a careful hiring approach rather than a rushed process.
