During "Other Matters" at the Jan. 8 meeting, Commissioner Jim Hemmesch said the city is waiting for Xcel Energy to submit a proposed route plan for review.
Commissioner Chuck Merten asked for an update on a planned apartment building. City Administrator Stacy Kalthoff said the developer still needs to sign an agreement and pay $15,000 and that the developer wanted to delay breaking ground until May or June, so the payment and building timeline may be deferred.
No formal action was recorded on the Xcel plan or developer matter during the special meeting; the items were provided as staff updates. The commission set future meeting dates for Jan. 23 and Feb. 27, 2025.
