The Coldwater Planning Commission approved a resolution to forward the draft master plan to the city council for public distribution and adopted a calendar of meeting dates for 2027.
A planner summarized small revisions to the draft master plan including folding a 'multifamily campus residential' designation into the mixed residential category and adding a modest call‑out on emerging land uses (battery storage, data centers and solar). The planner told commissioners the public comment period would open July 13 and run through Sept. 14, with the plan expected to return to the commission in October and, if unchanged, to proceed to city council later that month.
Commissioners then reviewed and approved Resolution 2601 setting the 2027 meeting dates (Jan. 4, Feb. 1, March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7, July 19, Aug. 2, Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6). A commissioner raised a scheduling question about July meetings and staff said they will circulate calendar invites.
The motion to recommend the draft master plan for public distribution and the vote on the 2027 calendar both passed by voice vote.
