Mandeville council adopts ordinances, approves permits and a contract amendment in unanimous votes

The Mandeville City Council voted unanimously at its April 9 meeting to adopt two ordinances, approve a resolution authorizing a contract amendment, approve two alcohol-permit applications and accept a substantial completion certificate for a road and drainage project.
Ordinance 26-03, which amends general definitions and multiple Planning and Zoning (CLURO) sections and removes PM-1 and PM-2 designations, was adopted following motions by Council members and a 5-0 recorded vote. Ordinance 26-12, declaring certain city items surplus and authorizing the mayor to exchange, donate or dispose of them, was also adopted 5-0.
The council adopted Resolution 26-13 authorizing the mayor to execute Amendment No.1 to the professional services agreement with CRI Advisors, LLC for the 2025 capital asset schedule review, reconciliation and remediation. The motion to adopt the resolution passed 5-0.
On event permitting, the council approved a motion permitting La Carretta of Mandeville to apply for an ATC alcohol permit for a Cinco de Mayo event on May 5, 2026, contingent on required ATC approval, a police detail and an adjusted end time. The council also approved a request to apply for an ATC alcohol permit for the Marine Corps League’s April 25 event at the Pontchartrain Yacht Club; both permit approvals were unanimous.
Council approved a Substantial Completion Certificate for Task Order No.1 of the 2025 Road and Drainage Maintenance Project, and the meeting concluded with an adjournment motion that passed 5-0. All recorded roll-call votes on the items in the meeting minutes were recorded as unanimous with five members voting yes.
The council did not record dissenting votes or abstentions on these matters at the April 9 meeting.
