The Forsyth County Zoning Board of Adjustment on Feb. 18, 2026, approved multiple manufactured‑home renewal applications and granted permanent status to two homes following applicant testimony and board discussion.
Chair Phillip Rector opened the meeting at 2:00 p.m. in the Bryce A. Stuart Municipal Building. Secretary Marc Allred read a consent agenda of manufactured‑home renewal requests, including applications for Frank Brewer (2812 S. Stratford Road), Sandra Kelly (3630 Priddy Road), Tony Vernon (5300 Reidsville Road), Cathy Boyd (6214 Tobaccoville Road), and Andrew Hundley (1602 Contour Lane). With no opposition present, Richard Borucki moved to approve the consent items for five years; Bertha Rothrock seconded. The Board voted unanimously, 5–0, to approve the consent renewals.
The Board then heard non‑consent renewals. Logan Bray, the property owner for case Z2500772 (8775 Kiger Road), was sworn in, answered board questions, and the Board approved permanent status for the manufactured home on a motion by Borucki, seconded by Rothrock; the vote was 5–0. Shirley Blankenship, applicant in case Z2600001 (170 Evans Court), was sworn in and similarly granted permanent status after answering questions; that motion also passed unanimously, 5–0.
Secretary Allred reminded applicants that new Special Use Permits require a building permit within two years of approval or the permit will expire, and that staff needs 48 hours to complete documentation before a building permit can be issued. Chair Rector noted a standing restriction on manufactured homes approved by the Board that they be tied down in accordance with state regulations and skirted with a nonflammable material before electrical power is released to the property. The Secretary also noted the meeting was being recorded and explained appeal rights to Superior Court within 30 days of the meeting date.
The Board took no further votes on zoning‑policy changes and adjourned at 2:28 p.m.
