Supervisors schedule and revise public hearings for Nuisance Ordinance amendment

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors adjusted its schedule for a Nuisance Ordinance on June 30, 2026. Supervisors initially moved to set a public hearing for July 21 at 9:00 A.M., then voted to rescind that motion. The Board later set a public hearing for the Nuisance Ordinance Amendment to Winnebago County Ordinance #5 for July 28, 2026 at 9:30 A.M.
Motions to set and to rescind the July 21 hearing were made by Supervisor Durby and seconded by Supervisor Smith and were recorded as carrying with all members voting aye. The motion to set the July 28 hearing was likewise moved by Durby and seconded by Smith and carried unanimously.
The minutes do not include the proposed amendment’s text or a staff summary of substantive changes to Ordinance #5. The scheduled July 28 hearing will be the formal opportunity for the public and the Board to review and comment on the proposed amendment.
