Selectmen approve retroactive cost-of-living adjustment for zoning coordinator; seal nonpublic minutes

The Springfield Board of Selectmen voted Jan. 26 to approve a one-time, retroactive cost-of-living adjustment of $948.68 for the town's zoning coordinator, and approved sealing minutes from two nonpublic sessions held that day.
Chair Steve Dzubak moved to add $948.68 to the budget as a one-time retroactive adjustment covering 2024 and 2025 for the zoning coordinator. The motion was seconded by Amy Lewis and approved with all three selectmen voting in favor (Steve Dzubak, Amy Lewis and Jen Roberts). The board said the adjustment will be discussed again during the next budget meeting on Feb. 2.
Earlier in the meeting the board entered and exited two nonpublic sessions under RSA 91-A:3, II (c). Each motion to enter nonpublic session and each motion to seal the nonpublic minutes was approved by roll call votes; the record shows the sealing motions were moved by Chair Dzubak and seconded by Amy Lewis and that the three members voted to approve the seals.
The board also voted to accept the minutes of its Jan. 12 meeting as amended. Selectman Steve Dzubak moved to accept the minutes, Jen Roberts seconded; Dzubak and Roberts voted in favor while Amy Lewis abstained.
The board said the retroactive adjustment is being recorded now and will be reflected in upcoming budget discussions; no further personnel actions were taken during the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 6:27 p.m.
