Findlay supervisors table request to help fund new soccer nets for regional youth league

Assistant Manager Brandon Stanick brought a request from West Allegheny Youth Soccer Association (WAYSA) seeking township funds to replace soccer nets at the Recreation & Sports Complex. Stanick said the association serves families in multiple municipalities and that the equipment would support about 400 local families with use up to five nights per week.
Supervisors discussed buying two nets this year and two the following year and noted existing corporate contributions toward sports lighting. The Board voted to table the request and asked staff to return with a cost breakdown showing contributions from other communities and line-item pricing for nets, poles and warranty.
Supervisor Thomas Gallant moved to table the request; Raymond Chappell seconded. The motion carried 3–0. No township funds were approved at the workshop; the item may return to the Board once staff provides the requested detail.
