Assistant Manager Brandon Stanick told the supervisors that Janoski Farm is seeking approval to host small events at its pavilion by the pond, each with fewer than 100 attendees, staffed on site and expected to conclude by 9 p.m. The events were described as running seasonally from April through October.
Supervisor Raymond Chappell noted there are different rules for public and private events and recommended obtaining guidance from Allegheny County. Stanick said the township could implement a pilot program to learn how events operate and then prepare a zoning text amendment based on that experience.
Next steps: staff will evaluate county rules and the board will consider whether to authorize a pilot or pursue a text amendment to the zoning code.
