Findlay Township to seek replacement for Activity Center electronic sign after repairs fail

Findlay Township Manager Tom Garrett told the Board of Supervisors that the Activity Center’s electronic sign has been down and recent repair attempts failed because replacement parts are not available.
Garrett said Valley Electric and a contractor, Reynold Smith, were unable to locate parts for the older sign and recommended procuring a replacement through the Pennsylvania CO‑STARS cooperative purchasing program. The board expressed no objection to continuing an investigation into replacement options but did not take a formal vote during the workshop.
No procurement contract was approved at the meeting. Staff will continue to research replacement models and procurement options and return to the board with recommendations or a formal purchase request if appropriate.
